Dr. Pfeifer uses an educational and supportive approach to therapy. She works to establish an open and trusting relationship with her clients in order to create a working a relationship. She is practical and encouraging to her clients, knowing that true change and growth is the responsibility and the accomplishment of the client’s hard work.

  • W.A. "Mike" Moffitt, Ph.D

    Dr. Moffitt is the co-owner of the group practice. He is a psychologist who works with a variety of clients in individual, family, and marriage therapy. Dr. Moffitt has extensive training in the treatment of children, adolescents, couples and families. He previously served as Chief Psychologist, Program Director of Adult Psychiatric Unit and Director of Dual Diagnosis Services at Osawatomie State Hospital. His clinical interests include working with individuals with anxiety-related disorders, depression, addictions and the use of hypnosis for habit control (smoking cessation, weight loss, pain control).

  • Leif E. Leaf, Ph.D

    Dr. Leaf was formally the Neuropsychologist/Clinical director for a neuro-rehabilitation program in Las Vegas. Dr. Leaf is a nationally recognized expert and conference speaker on topics related to neuropsychology, behavioral management and traumatic brain injuries. As a former speech pathologist, his interests have included working with adults and children with anxiety-related disorders, family issues and organic brain syndrome.

  • Everett DeHaven, Ph.D

    Dr. DeHaven is a licensed psychologist who has many years of experience in working with children and adults. He has specialized in developmental disabilities and behavior problems with children. He has served as the Chief Psychologist at the Youth Center at Topeka and past Clinical Director and Coordinator at Saint Francis Academy providing residential services for children across several states. Having over 10 years of experience providing outpatient therapy to children, Dr. DeHaven prefers to work with families when helping children/youth resolve their struggles in life. Using a common sense approach to diminish emotional struggles and behavioral difficulties is a priority while employing proven therapeutic techniques is an ongoing focus of Dr. DeHaven's approach with each individual client. Dr. DeHaven often looks at how his clients' thoughts and emotions are connected with their behavior and interactions with others.

  • Annalise Tinker, M.A., LCPC, NCC

    Annalise Tinker is a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor who specializes in children, teen and young adults. Annalise has a certificate in play therapy and believes in the therapeutic powers of play to help clients heal and rewire the brain from the bottom up by building new and healthier neuropathways. Annalise uses evidence-based practices in her work including cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) to help clients learn the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and the importance of learning how to recognize and regulate their negative and biased thought patterns associated with psychological distress.

    Annalise is the owner of TheChildrensCounselor.com, where she shares expert advice and practical tips for parents to raise confident and resilient children.

    Annalise is a former educator and school counselor. Outside of the traditional workday, Annalise enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and participating in and leading small groups at her church.

  • Kelsey Moffitt-Carney Ph.D.

    Kelsey is a psychologist who works with children, adolescents, and adults. Trained as a generalist practitioner in psychology, Kelsey has worked with clients presenting with diverse and complex symptoms and concerns including mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, adjustment difficulties, relationship problems, grief and loss, and sleep disturbance.

    Her clinical practice is grounded in an integrative framework that emphasizes the therapeutic relationship and primarily draws from cognitive-behavioral, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and systems theories and interventions.

    In her free time, Kelsey enjoys playing volleyball, card games, traveling and spending time with family.

  • John DeHaven, LSCSW

    John is a licensed clinical social worker who has worked with adults in the mental health/addiction field since 2013. He specializes in substance abuse and mental illness with adults. John most often uses solution focused brief therapy to assist with his patients. This helps him to work with individuals using a patient centered focus and make an individualized plan for each person. John often looks at how both internal and external factors shape the individual, and how the client can manage these factors to help the achieve the goals that they are trying to reach.

    Winnie is a 4-year-old rescue dog with a heart of gold and an endearing personality. Despite struggling with anxiety, she has overcome her fears and found her true calling as a therapy dog. Winnie loves treats, chasing squirrels, and wrestling with her brother Ralph, a 5-year-old rescue cat. Her infectious enthusiasm and unwavering dedication to spreading love and positivity have earned her a special place in the hearts of all those who have had the pleasure of meeting her.

    Duke is a 7-year-old Pomeranian dog and a beloved member of the staff at Professional Association. He was rescued from an animal shelter and now serves as a therapy dog, providing comfort and support to clients during their sessions. When he's not busy working, Duke loves to play with his toys and cuddle with his favorite humans.
